Oxford University Press -Global Website
Complex content designed to be simple to access
The Client
Oxford University Press is a part of the University of Oxford. It furthers the University's objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide. It publishes a range of internationally recognised dictionaries, educational, academic, and scholarly books, journals, and online products.
The Challenge
To help build the new Oxford University Press Global Web Site. This involved working with the internal team to help provide direction and support across design, branding and technical issues. The site although not that big had to act as a gateway to the wide range of product and regional websites, providing a clear route to the right destination site for international visitors from across the globe.
The Solution
The new web site is clean, professional and reflects the deep heritage of Oxford University Press. One of the key project objectives was to ensure the site is accessible and easy to use. The site therefore automatically picks up which country you are visiting from then gives the visitor control to switch countries if required. The site then configures the product offering depending on the location selected. Site images have been carefully selected to then give the site a personality that is memorable.
Our Work
The project had to be completed within a very tight deadline, where tight integration and collaboration between internal and external team member was critical.
